Luftwaffe Loss Register

This REGISTER has an intention to show several updated and detailed lists of aircraft losses by Luftwaffe (The Germanan Air Force) in the Nordic area during World War 2. These large lists are still not necessarily accurate, and may be wrong about dates, places, fates, units etc.

Gelbe 8 was based in 1945 at airfield Gossen, Central-Norway.
Nearly 5000 records (many not yet put into the database) is collected with various lever of details from this sources:
A - From various German wartime records and also British/American wartime records,
B - From Deutsche Dienststelle in Berlin (WASt), (fate of flying crews)
C - From lists and articles from various Nordic historians, to mention a few Rune Rautio, Bjørn Hafstad, Morten Moe, Per Skaugestad, Jørn Junker, Carsten Pedersen, Hannu Valtonen, Kari Stenman and Bo Widtfeldt.
D -. From various books and magazines.
E - From other historians, mostly Germans.

Werknummer, could be translated as production number
 

Column Vknz.:

Verbandskennzeichen, could be translated as unit code,
 
Columns Dam. And loss:
10-59% as damaged, 60-100% as loss.

Rank - Name - Fate, (+) killed, (w) Wounded, (p) pow, (i) interned,
 
Column Ploss:
1-0-2-1 killed - pow - wounded/injured - safe
